St Thomas Square is a unique place. It is one of only four condo complexes located on the south side of Grand Lagoon in Panama City Beach, Florida. That is significant because it gives Gulf access via the lagoon. You can jump into your boat docked on the premises and be in the Bay or Gulf in 20 minutes. St Thomas Square is only one block to the beach. It is about 800 steps which is approximately a 7-8 minute walk depending on the wait at the traffic light.
The mediterranean architecture and the tropical landscape is a constant reminder that you are at the beach! Especially when the sea breeze is blowing the palms and your hair. The complex has five Villa buildings that each has 12-14 units. They are situated along either the lagoon, the pool, or the pond. You will see wildlife ranging from dolphin to osprey. Boats, personal watercraft, and paddle boards are frequently in the lagoon. The immaculate pool is refreshing. The pond has two fountains and has turtles and fish.
The Plaza building consists of both retail and residential condos. There is a nail salon, hair salon, Mexican restaurant, coffee shop, and more on the main level. Levels two and three has studio and one bedroom units accessible by an elevator and stairs.
St Thomas Square is a low-rise complex with plenty of green space which gives it a residential feel. The complex is gated. Amenities include a club house, swimming pool, tennis courts, shuffleboard courts, boat dock and parking, grills, and a fire pit.

This is a great place to live at full-time. There are many residents who still work in the surrounding area or telecommute. Several residents however are retired. The tropical climate and Gulf and beach access makes it easy for both working and retired residents to play more than they work!

At St Thomas Square there are two distinctions between condos: Villas and Plaza. Five villa buildings have between 12-14 units each and five different floor plans ranging from a one bedroom to a three bedroom. All one bedroom units are located on the ground floor. Four different floor plans are available for two bedroom units with two one-level choices and two that have two levels. Three bedroom units have either two or three levels.
The Plaza is a three story building with a combination of retail and residential units. All retail is located on the ground floor. You can have dental work, nails painted, hair cut, eat Mexican food, have coffee, or more.
Residential condos are on the second and third levels of The Plaza. The elevator is centrally located and three stair wells, one central and one on each end of the building, serves the residents. The Plaza condos are either studio or one bedroom units available in five different floor plans. Only a few Plaza units have a glimpse of a water view. Most overlook Thomas Drive and Joan Avenue and can see the condo complexes along the beach.
When you look for St Thomas Square condos for sale, you can distinguish between villa condos and plaza condos by their unit numbers. Villas will have three numbers and plaza units will have four numbers, usually followed by A, B, or C.
Swim in the crystal clear and refreshing water of the immaculate pool. There are plenty of lounge chairs for sunbathing as well. Tennis and shuffleboard courts are available for your enjoyment. Charcoal grills are located at the pool area for grilling fish, steaks, burgers, and hotdogs. Relax in the evening by the fire pit. Roast marshmallows while sharing time with family and friends. Bring your boat because there is a boat dock on the premises on Grand Lagoon. You can take a cruise in the lagoon out to the Bay and be in the Gulf within half an hour.
